Privacy policy

Effective October 25, 2026

The GoGenius website is simple on purpose. You don’t need an account to use it, it sets no cookies and it doesn’t track you. This policy explains the small amount of information involved in running it, and what you can do about it.

Who we are and what this covers

GoGenius is made by Waterside Labs LLC, which also runs this website at gogeniusapp.com. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Waterside Labs LLC. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information connected with this website and with emails you send us from it.

This policy covers the website only. The GoGenius app isn’t available yet, and nothing on this page describes it. We’ll publish a separate privacy policy for the app before it launches.

What the website collects

Basic request data. Like any website, ours can’t send you a page without receiving some technical information from your browser, such as your IP address, browser type (the “user agent”), the page you asked for and the time. Our host, Firebase Hosting from Google, processes this to deliver the site, keep it running and protect it from abuse.

Emails you choose to send. If you email us, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, your message and any attachments. Please send only what you need to, and never send passwords, financial details, government ID numbers or health records by email.

Nothing else. The website has no accounts, sign-up forms, newsletter, comments, analytics or advertising tools, and we don’t use your visit to build a profile of you.

How we use information

We use the information described above to:

  • deliver the website to your browser and keep it working;
  • keep the website secure, prevent abuse and fix technical problems;
  • read and reply to your emails; and
  • keep the records we need to meet legal obligations, or to establish, exercise or defend legal rights.

Emailing us doesn’t sign you up for marketing. We don’t use website information for advertising, for visitor profiles or to make automated decisions about you.

When information is shared

Service providers. This website is hosted on Google’s Firebase Hosting, and our business email uses Google Workspace. These providers process the information needed to provide their services. People at Waterside Labs who handle your email can see it so they can reply.

Legal and business reasons. We may share relevant information with professional advisers or authorities when reasonably needed to comply with the law or a valid legal request, protect people’s rights and security, or deal with a legal claim. If a business change, such as a merger or sale, affects this information, any transfer stays subject to the law and the relevant privacy obligations.

We don’t sell or rent personal information from this website, or share it for targeted advertising.

Cookies and tracking

The website doesn’t set cookies or use your browser’s local or session storage. It has no analytics, tracking pixels, advertising tools, third-party scripts, externally hosted fonts or embedded videos or social media posts. Everything the page loads comes from our own site.

Because we don’t track you, the site works the same whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal. This doesn’t limit any opt-out right you have by law. If we ever add tracking or other features that collect more information, we’ll update this policy first and ask for any consent the law requires before they start.

How long we keep information

  • Hosting data. Google keeps request data for its own operational periods. Google’s Firebase privacy information currently says Firebase Hosting keeps IP addresses for a few months.
  • Emails. We keep emails while the conversation is relevant, and longer only if we need them for legal, record-keeping or dispute reasons. Deleted copies can take time to clear from backups.

Security and where information is processed

The website uses HTTPS, which encrypts information as it travels between your browser and our host. We use access controls and our providers’ security safeguards to protect the information we handle, but no website or email service can be made completely secure.

Our providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate, where privacy laws may differ from yours. The laws that apply still govern how information is handled, including any protections required for transfers between countries, and visiting the website doesn’t mean you give those protections up.

Your choices and rights

You can use the whole website without giving us anything beyond the basic request data your browser sends. Emailing us is always your choice.

To ask what information we have about you, or to ask us to correct or delete it, email info@watersidelabs.com with “Privacy request” in the subject line. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to get a copy of your information, to limit or object to how it’s used, to appeal our decision, and to complain to a regulator. We’ll handle your request under the law that applies and explain any limits. This policy doesn’t reduce any rights the law gives you.

We may need to confirm it’s really you, or that someone acting for you has your permission, before we share or change anything. Please don’t send ID documents in your first message. We won’t treat you differently for using your privacy rights.

Children

The GoGenius website is meant for a general audience and isn’t directed to children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through it. If you think a child has sent us personal information, please contact us so we can look into it and take the right steps, including deleting it where required.

Links to other sites

Some links take you away from this website. The Waterside Labs company website at watersidelabs.com has its own privacy policy. Other sites and services have their own privacy practices, and we don’t control information you give directly to them.

Changes to this policy

We’ll update this policy when the website or the way we handle information changes, and we’ll change the effective date at the top of the page. For significant changes, we’ll give additional notice and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
